Here to help.

Open the app and browse by brand or search for what you need. You can compare pricing, check stock and add items from BUCO, Timbercity, Citiwood and HHL to the same basket, then choose delivery to your door or straight to site.

You create one profile and it works across all four brands — BUCO, Timbercity, Citiwood and HHL. The same account carries your orders, your virtual card and your rewards, whether you buy in the app or swipe in store.

Build the quote from the materials you have priced in the app, add labour and your own mark-up and send it to your customer under your own branding. You see your margin before they ever see a price.

Once a quote is approved you can turn it straight into a project, so the materials and the money are already attached to the job rather than being re-entered by hand. Tasks and timelines are set up from there.

This follows on from setting the project up. You work through the tasks, track progress against the timeline and keep the customer informed — sharing updates and images and getting approvals without leaving the app.

Link a supported trade account and it sits in the app alongside your quotes and projects. You can pull up statements, invoices, credit notes and Proof of Delivery documents whenever you need them and use your virtual trade card when you transact in store. More than one account can be linked, across supported brands.

Thuso is South Africa's first multi-brand building-supply app, by The Building Company. It puts BUCO, Timbercity, Citiwood and HHL in one app so you can order across all four in a single basket — delivered to your door or straight to site. Thuso means help in Setswana and Sesotho and that's the promise: help is on the way.

Four of The Building Company's brands: BUCO (hardware and buildware), Timbercity (timber and board), Citiwood (board and panel products) and HHL (Handles, Hinges & Locks). Mix items from all four in one basket, with one checkout and one delivery.

Yes — Thuso is live on iOS and Android, free to download. Get it from the download page.

Yes. Free to download, free to use. You pay for what you order. The delivery price is shown before you confirm.

Yes — that's the point. Set a home address or a site address and pick a slot that suits your programme. A vehicle sized for the load brings it to you. Planks, boards, cement, bulk — this is delivery built for building material, not parcels.

Delivery is priced by load and distance. You'll always see the delivery price in the app before you confirm the order. No surprises at the gate.

Yes. You'll see the status at every step — packed, on the road, delivered — along with the driver and vehicle details for the drop.

Set your own mark-up per item or across the whole batch. Thuso shows three numbers on every line — your cost, your price, your profit — and totals them up. Then it sends a clean, professional quote under your business name and logo. Your client only ever sees the final price, never your cost or margin.

One profile, four brands, one virtual card that lives in the app. Swipe it at the till in store or order in the app — every rand counts toward rewards either way. There's a welcome reward to get you started and offers that fit what you actually build.

Your information runs your profile, your orders and your rewards — and it's handled in line with POPIA. The full privacy policy will be available in the app and on this site.
